OSU Housing and Residential Life provides on-campus housing options for all students. Options for undergraduates include traditional halls, suites, deluxe suites and deluxe apartments, and apartment neighborhoods for families, graduate students and everyone who qualifies for year-round housing.
Key Registration Dates
Incoming First-Year Students for Fall 2026

Housing Registration begins February 1.
- Ready to register for your required orientation and enrollment program? Take your next step!
- Assignments are based on the date you paid your OSU enrollment deposit, roommate groups, housing-style preferences and room availability.
- August 1 is the deadline to register for housing and still be guaranteed a room for Fall 2026.
- Remember, first-year students are required to live on campus during their first academic year, unless they are granted an exemption. The deadline for exemptions is September 2.
Current Returning Residents for Fall 2026
- Current returning residents should register between January 13-30 for first consideration.
- Registration reopens August 1 for anyone who missed the first round.
Other Undergraduates for Fall 2026
- If you’re an undergraduate not currently living on campus, you can register starting February 1.
